Augusta Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists goes live with Surgimate

Augusta Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists is an eight surgeon practice in Augusta, Georgia. Their surgical scheduling workflow was completely paper driven and manual. Forms were completed by hand or even a typewriter(!), and office calendars were filled out manually and in multiple places (including a whiteboard!). Furthermore, their medical forms and official documents were physically couriered between offices and surgical facilities. Needless to say, their scheduling system was inefficient and difficult to maintain.

At this point, Augusta Orthopedic realized they needed to make some big changes. They decided to automate their surgical scheduling process, and went live with Surgimate in October of 2015. Now, all their forms are generated automatically, they have one electronic surgical calendar that is synchronized and accessible to anyone in the practice, and all surgical data is stored inside Surgimate. Finally, all staff members and doctors can access the information they need, whenever they need it in a clear, digital format.
